Fire Alarm System Design

Fire By Design, Inc. provides high-quality fire alarm system designs that strictly comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code. Our designers are certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level 4 in fire alarm systems, ensuring your plans will fully comply with jurisdictional code.

In addition to fire alarms, we design voice evacuation and communication systems for buildings that require such engineering, such as in the City of Chicago. Our capabilities in the city of Chicago include the design of Class I, Class II, High Rise, Non-Jurisdictional, as well as One-Way and Two-Way Voice Ordinance fire alarm and voice evacuation systems.

Building Surveys & Evaluations

If you do not possess floor plans of your building, there's nothing to worry about. Using the latest AutoCAD software and measuring devices, dedicated staff trained in conducting building surveys and evaluations map out buildings on-site to determine the extent of protection that is required.

Evacuation Maps

An Evacuation Map is a simplified building schematic that guides people away from a potential threat or hazardous area. Evacuation Maps show details such as rooms, doors, exits, hallways, stairwells, and more. Evacuation maps will also show the “You are here” location and safe egress routes. Safety equipment may also be included on these maps. These are important for the safety of employees and customers. Evacuation maps give clear instructions in case of an emergency that would require an evacuation. These can also be used when conducting drills to ensure everyone uses the safest exit route.
